Data deletion

Last updated: 10/09/2026

This page explains how to have the data Krown holds about you deleted, including anything obtained through a connected network such as Instagram or YouTube. It is the address we give to platform providers as our data deletion request URL.

What Krown holds about a connected account

When you verify a social account, Krown stores a proof of ownership and nothing else: the identifier the network returned for your account, and your public handle. The access token is discarded immediately after the single call that reads them, so Krown holds no standing access to any account. Section 3 of our Privacy Policy sets out, network by network, exactly what is read and why.

How to request deletion

Write to contact@krown.me from the e-mail address on your Krown account, and say whether you want:

  • one connected account removed, naming the network and the handle. The proof of ownership for that account is deleted and the account stops being shown as verified on your profile.
  • your Krown account deleted, which removes your profile and every proof of ownership attached to it.

We answer within 2 to 3 business days, and the deletion itself completes within 30 days of the request. We do not need any password or any further access to your social account in order to carry it out.

Revoking Krown's access yourself

Deleting your data and revoking access are two different things, and you can do the second immediately, without us:

  • Instagram: Settings > Accounts Center > Apps and websites, then remove Krown.
  • Google and YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions, then remove Krown.

Revoking access stops any future connection. It does not by itself erase the proof of ownership already recorded, which is what the request above is for.

What we keep, and why

Records we are legally required to retain, such as billing documents, are kept for the period the law imposes, and fully anonymised data that can no longer be linked back to you may be retained. Everything else goes.
